Sunday was a day full of activities organized by the college across its various departments, with one of the most notable being an initiative led by the Student Union Committee in coordination with the college administration.
The event included the planting of a variety of trees and flowers in the courtyard in front of the administration building, with active participation from students under the direct supervision of the college administration. The Dean himself joined the students in planting, embodying a spirit of cooperation and engagement between the administration and students.
These social activities contribute significantly to fostering a positive and cheerful atmosphere within the college. They also have a tangible impact on students’ mental well-being and help develop their social skills. Some students showcased exceptional abilities in coordinating between the campaign’s supporters, such as Duhok Nursery, and the college administration. In this context, the efforts of the Student Union Committee, led by its president, final-year student Zanyar Diyar Said, deserve special recognition.
During the campaign, an innovative idea was proposed: students would take responsibility for caring for the plants they had planted, with each plant named after the student who nurtures it. Upon graduation, the responsibility for these plants would be passed on to new students, fostering a sense of belonging and sustainability.
This type of initiative reflects a collective commitment to improving the college environment and strengthening cooperation among all parties involved.
