Our College Camera visited the Duhok Scientific Research Center, which is managed by Dr. Zanan Muhammad Amin Taha
The college's camera conducts regular visits to its various departments throughout the academic year. On December 8, 2024, a visit was dedicated to the Duhok Scientific Research Center, which is managed by Dr. Zanan Muhammad Amin Taha, an Assistant Professor specializing in Microbiology and Molecular Bacteriology. During the visit, Dr. Zanan emphasized the importance of following preventive measures before entering the center.
During the tour, we observed several researchers and postgraduate students actively engaged in conducting their experiments, benefiting from the center’s facilities. It is noteworthy that the center has contributed to the graduation of approximately 50 postgraduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.), whose research has been published in prestigious journals, including those with a high Impact Factor.
The center's management is dedicated to fostering meaningful collaborative relationships with external entities. Currently, it has established important partnerships with universities such as the University of Mosul, University of Salahaddin, and University of Zakho, aiming to carry out joint research projects that serve the public interest and advance scientific development.
It is worth mentioning that the Burstel Foundation of Germany played a vital role in establishing this center, both financially and morally. The foundation provided the center with most of the essential equipment and supplies needed to fulfill its mission effectively.
