Jan. 21, 2025, 10:48 p.m.

Last Tuesday , on Jan -17-2025 at the college of Veterinary medicine clinics , Dr. Nathim Juwad Hassan supervised a group of final-year students in performing a surgical procedure for a case of abdominal hernia in sheep, a condition where the internal abdominal contents protrude through a weak area in the abdominal wall, usually near the midline. This hernia can result from trauma, congenital defects, or excessive pressure, and appears as a visible swelling on the lower abdomen. The treatment required surgical intervention to reposition the contents back into the abdomen and reinforce the abdominal wall using the appropriate surgical sutures.
