I began my university teaching career in 2021 at the College of Basic Education, University of Duhok, in the Department of Educational and Psychological Counseling. During this time, I have taught a range of core and specialized courses, most notably: Measurement and Evaluation, General Psychology, Educational Psychology, Psychological Problems, and Counseling Methods.
This experience has been a significant opportunity to develop my academic and pedagogical skills by working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. This led me to adopt modern teaching methods that focus on interaction and active participation while accounting for individual differences among learners. I have also been keen to employ educational strategies that bridge the gap between theory and practice through scientific discussions, case study analysis, and classroom activities that contribute to deepening understanding and developing critical thinking.
Throughout my years of teaching, which continue to the present, I have strived to provide a supportive learning environment that helps build the student's scientific and professional character, enhancing their ability to apply psychological and educational knowledge in practical situations.
Since 2021, I have served as the Coordinator for the Department of Educational and Psychological Counseling at the College of Basic Education, University of Duhok—a position that combines academic and administrative responsibilities. This role involves overseeing academic programs, organizing curricula, and monitoring the scholarly performance of faculty members to ensure the quality of educational outcomes in accordance with accredited standards.
In this capacity, I am dedicated to updating curricula to meet student needs and labor market demands, fostering a culture of scientific research, and engaging with educational and community institutions to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
