I usually teach Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Taxonomy, Plant Anatomy, General Botany and my philosophy regarding the above subjects is as follows:

My teaching philosophy is rooted in creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment that encourages curiosity and deep understanding of plant anatomy, taxonomy, general plant biology, and plant physiology. I emphasize connecting theoretical concepts with real-world applications by using hands-on laboratory activities, microscopic observations, and field-based examples to help students visualize plant structures, classify plant groups, and understand how physiological processes support growth and adaptation.

I strive to simplify complex topics through clear explanations, interactive discussions, and the integration of current scientific research. My goal is to cultivate critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and appreciation for plant diversity, ensuring that students develop both foundational knowledge and practical skills that prepare them for advanced studies and professional careers in plant sciences.

My research in plant tissue culture focuses on optimizing in vitro regeneration systems for medicinal and ornamental plants to support their large-scale propagation, genetic improvement, and conservation. I am particularly interested in investigating how explant type, plant growth regulators, and culture conditions influence callus induction, shoot proliferation, root formation, and somatic embryogenesis in species that are often difficult to propagate conventionally.

For medicinal plants, like asparagus and myrtle, my work aims to enhance micropropagation efficiency and stimulate the production of valuable secondary metabolites through callus and suspension cultures.

For ornamental plants, like Ferns, gardenia and , I am motivated to improve propagation techniques that ensure uniformity, rapid multiplication, and the development of novel varieties with desirable traits such as color, fragrance, and stress tolerance.

Ultimately, my goal is to establish reliable, high-efficiency tissue culture protocols that support the sustainable use, commercial production, and conservation of both medicinal and ornamental plant species.
