  • BA in English Language, College of Basic Education, University of Duhok, 2014.

I have been teaching at the university level since 2022, and during this time I have had the opportunity to work with students from different disciplines and levels. My main teaching role has been delivering Introduction to Literature to first-year students in the English Department of the College of Education, where I focus on helping students engage with literature in meaningful and accessible ways. I have also taught General English in several departments within both the College of Science and the College of Education, which has allowed me to support students in strengthening their language skills and academic communication across various fields.

Research

My research interests revolve around the study of the novel and the ways in which literary narratives shape how people understand their lives, experiences, and the world around them. I am especially interested in how fiction influences readers’ perspectives, emotions, and social awareness. This interest continues to guide my academic work and inspires me to explore the broader connections between literature and everyday human experiences.

Since 2023, I have been supervising BA research projects in literature, working closely with undergraduate students as they develop their ideas and grow as independent researchers. I support them from the early stages of choosing a topic to refining their arguments and completing their final papers. My aim is to create an encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore literary texts, ask meaningful questions, and produce research they can be proud of.
